Jammu: 2 injured in 3 accidents on National highway

In three separate accidents at Chanderkote Digdool and Darshipora Banihal on Jammu Srinagar National Highway,  three persons received grievous injures on Wednesday.

Police said at Darshipora Banihal on Highway a bike skidded from the road into gorge resulting into grievous head injuries to its rider he was rushed to Sub District Hospital Banihal for treatment.

Police identified him as Abdul Lateef Mir 45 son of Gulam Rasool Mir resident of Chareel Banihal.

Chanderkote Police said in a head on collusion between truck bearing registration number JK14C-6589 and Taveera bearing registration number JK03C-9219 coming from opposite directions near Jamia Masjid Chanderkote on Highway no one was injured in this accident however Taveera received extensive damage.


In another accident in Ramban Police Station jurisdiction on Jammu Srinagar National Highway at Digdool a truck bearing registration number PB29M-9103 en route to Jammu loaded with apples went out control from its driver and roll down into 400 feet deep embankment of Bislari Nullah at Digdool resulting in serious injuries to driver of the vehicle.

He was shifted by rescue teams comprising of local Red Cross volunteers police and ROP jawans of army stationed at Digsool to District Hospital Ramban for treatment.

He has been identified as Arun Kumar son of Ram Nath resident of Moga Punjab was shifted to District Hospital Ramban.

In this regard three different cases are registered at Chanderkote Ramban and Banihal    police stations for investigations.
