New Delhi, Jan 5: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed continued to be in critical but stable condition on Tuesday, a week after being admitted to the AIIMS following fever and respiratory problems.
“He (Mufti) continues to be on respiratory support but his condition is stable now. He continues to be on essential medication and supportive therapy. His condition continues to be warranting close monitoring by the team of experts at AIIMS,” the hospital said in a statement.
The 79-year-old leader, who is in the Intensive Care Unit of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), was flown to the institute on December 24, last year following complaints of severe fever, respiratory problems and neck pain.
Mufti, a patient of acute diabetes, has been undergoing routine check-up every month at the institute.
