NEW DELHI: The government will soon start Nursery classes in 800 government run schools in Jammu and Kashmir in a bid to bring these schools at par with private schools. The decision to introduce nursery classes comes after the introduction of KG classes in the government schools. The state Education Minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari said yesterday that considering the favorable public response and tangible results obtained after introduction of Kindergartens, the government has decided to start nursery classes in 800 government schools as well.
According to PTI, Altaf Bikhari was speaking at the Cultural conclave of Kindergartens which was organised by the Directorate of School Education, Jammu. He said that the Kindergartens in Government schools would run in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department.
He said that the state Education department was in the process of working out the modalities for establishment of the nursery schools.
