Jammu: ATM with Rs 29 lakh cash stolen from main city

Udhampur, Oct 6: Unidentified persons uprooted an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) of State Bank of India on the Katra-Udhampur Road at Tikri on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here and decamped with it.

The accused on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday (05/06 October 2017) decamped with the ATM, carrying worth lakhs of rupees. Police after getting the information Senior Police officer including SSP Udhampur Rayeez Bhat along with DYSP HQRS Udhampur along with Police Team rushed the spot and investigated the matter.

FSL experts also called to collect the figure prints. The thieves also stole the Hard disk of CCTV camera which was installed in the ATM.

DYSP HQRS Udhampur Kameshwar Puri said that after getting the information they reached the spot and are on job to collect the CCTV Camera footage from manthal and Ban toll Plaza.
