Jammu : Blind murder case solved, accused held


Akhnoor police today claimed to have cracked a blind murder case and arrested the accused while recovered the weapon of offence on the disclosure of the arrested accused.

The police here cracked a blind murder case of a man hailing from Nepal in Akhnoor area, in the city outskirts.

“On Sunday, one Pula Sharma, resident of Daskal, in Akhnoor tehsil, Jammu lodged a complaint with the police that one of his employees, Lal Bahadur (60), son of Gur Bahadur, resident of Garam Bashi, Nepal, was lying in a pool of blood on his bed in Sharma’s poultry farm situated at Bharda Kalan.

Upon finding him dead, Sharma informed the concerned police station, following which a case was registered and investigations were initiated.

Police said that a suspect, Shiv Kumar, resident of Kapai di Bai, Akhnoor, Jammu was put under interrogation and he later confessed to the crime.

“The weapon of offence (a stick) was also recovered from his possession,” the police added.

Police have cracked three murder cases in the past three months in Akhnoor area.
