Jammu boy Sunil Paliwal brought laurel to city, wins Bismillah Khan Award


Jammu:Sunil Paliwal, hailing from Katra in Jammu division, has been awarded the National Bismillah Khan Yuva Sangeet Natak Akademi Award for outstanding work in the field of acting. On Monday, Governor Najma Heptulla honored Sunil at a program organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Manipur Dance Academy Auditorium Imphal. The award was announced on 16 July.

Sunil, who started acting in 2002 as a child artist from Natrang Studio, graduated from GGM Science College and did a diploma in drama from the Himachal Cultural Research Forum and Theater Academy, Mandi. In 2013, she starred in Prithvi Vallabh TV show and in 2014 it was Dil Ramta Jogi. Her performance in CID, Pledge, Balika Vadhu, Dil Jo Naa Keh Sakya were also appreciated.

In his career he has worked with artists including Saurabh Shukla and Naseeruddin Shah, Rakesh Bedi.
