Jammu March 22: Today the President Chamber of Commerce and Industry(Regd) Jammu Sh. Rakesh Gupta along with his team of Office bearers Sh. Rajesh Gupta Sr. Vice President, Sh. Rajeev Gupta Jr. Vice President, Sh. Munish Gupta Gen Secy, Sh. Gaurav Gupta Secy and Sh. Ashu Gupta Treasurer visited Nowshera and had a meeting with the Joint Action Committee who have been observing complete bandh since the last more than 33 days in support of their demand to sanction the Post of ADDC and declare Nowshera as a District.
After the meeting, the JCCI President assured the gathering that Jammu Chamber shall extend full support to the genuine demand of the people of Nowshera. He further said that the politics in the state has de graded so much and few politicians have stooped so low that they are hell bent on breaking the secular thread in the state and advised the high commands of political parties that such MLA’s and Ministers should be given the tickets to find municipal elections and not as MLA’s as they have behaved irresponsibly by creating ADC posts for areas which were declared as tehsils in the recent years forgetting that Nowshera was a declared as Tehsil since pre independence and deserved to be declared as District. The Chamber President felt that the people were repenting to have voted for State BJP because of the name of the Prime Minister Narinder Bhai Modi as there is no accountability system in the BJP as apparent from their performance in the state ever since they came into power especially the MLA Ravinder Raina who has pitched people against each other in his own constituency.
The Chamber President announce an “ULTIMATUM OF 72 HOURS” to the state government to sanction the post of ADDC for Nowshera failing which the Jammu Chamber shall join the agitation and that no negotiation of any manner would be accepted on this issue.
The Chamber President appeals to the Hon’ble CM Madam Mehbooba Mufti to personally intervene and do justice to the agitating people of Nowshera who have been Nationalists irrespective of caste creed or religion being an example and pillars of secularism and always been victims of cross-border firing.
