Jammu girls won National Trophy in Jammu, but missed appreciation from its people

Jammu, March 31: Jammu and Kashmir Girls team won the Cricket tournamnet final which was held at M.A Stadium yesterday.

The tournament was 24th Federation Cup Tennis Ball Championship in which 24 States took part in both the segments(Girls and Boys). Whereas in Boys Tournament Goa begged the First prize winning over Jharkhand.

Nazir Ahmad Member of Parliament representing the state of Jammu & Kashmir in Rajya Sabha was the Chief guest of the occasion who presented the Trophies to both the teams.

It is quite a shame that after giving such a phenomenal performance the host team couldn’t get any appreciation from its state. Their victory was not highlighted in news channel neither made Headlines in local daily.

J&K Team lost its first wicket in the first ball of the match and that itself was the turning point when in 8 over segment match they made a total of 88 runs with 9 wickets in hand. They won the match wid 67 runs bowling out the Jharkhand team in just 21 runs.

Exceptional performance was shown by Sumaya who begged 31 runs in 31 balls for her team and also took 2 wickets.

Third position was begged by AIIB in both women and men segments. Whereas in men team thrird position was begged by Odisha.
