NEW DELHI: After one policeman was martyred and another seriously injured in an encounter with terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district+ , the state’s deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh said on Sunday that Pakistan is responsible for terror in the state, ANI reported.
“These are highly condemnable actions of Pakistan, it’s being done by them. They are creating trouble in Kashmir,” the BJP deputy CM said, about the encounter that was still underway as of early Sunday afternoon.
“Pakistan has become a failed state, see what’s happening in Balochistan+ , Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK), Gilgit-Baltistan and other areas,” Singh said, about a fresh wave of military operations across the restive Balochistan province, that began a couple of days ago. At least two to three terrorists are suspected to be around the mini-secretariat in the Allah Pir area of Poonch where an encounter was still underway as of Sunday afternoon.
In a separate encounter, also on Sunday, four militants were killed as the Army foiled an infiltration bid+ along the Line of Control in the Naugam sector of Kashmir, an army official said.
