Jammu Kashmir Weather Update: Expect more rains in next 48 hours
The sudden shower for about 30 minutes on Wednesday brought the temperature down in the city . The minimum temperature was recorded 26.4 degrees Celsius while the maximum was 35.5 degrees. Residents got some relief from the heat that has been dogging them for most of last month. The sky remained overcast throughout the day on Wednesday and lightning was reported from some parts. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) officials said the city will continue to receive rain for the next two days because of a low pressure in the southern and eastern areas of the country. In the next 48 hours, rainfall is expected in most parts of Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Delhi, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab. The minimum and maximum temperature will see a dip by three degrees Celsius the next couple of days, the Met department said. There is also the possibility of rain or thunderstorm in isolated areas of the city.
