Jammu loves iPhone 6, some irked by the large screen
iPhone 6 and the bigger brother iPhone 6 plus has been well received by all Apple enthusiasts in Jammu and Kashmir as the phone made a very grand US-Style entry when the phone was released for early birds at mid night to entertain their preorders. People from Jammu could, however, just pre-order it through various e-commerce sites. With infibeam being the official partner of Apple for its preordering; Amazon, flipkart and snapdeal also allowed its pre-order.
The phone did what it professed, providing a competitive bigger screen, still keeping the intuitive one handed usage with a tap feature. The phone has everything and more. The iPhone 6 has a new 4.7-inch 750×1334-pixel screen, while the iPhone 6 Plus’s screen measures 5.5 inches and has a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are 6.9 and 7.1mm thick respectively. Both phones have been upgraded with high-speed Wi-Fi 802.11ac support and support the TD 2300 LTE band used in India. iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera, with improved sensors when compared with the iPhone 5s. The phones feature the new Apple A8 processor and a motion co-processor labelled M8.
The price for iPhone 6 and 6 plus has been kept around 50,000 INR and 60,000 INR for a 16 GB variant while one has to pay around 60,000 INR and 69,000 INR for a 64 GB variant for both the phone respectively. The colour spacegrey has been the most sorted out this year as compare to the gold last year for an iPhone 5s.
Al though some iPhone users in Jammu felt that the usability of a large screened phone was a bit more irking as they have been used to using iPhone 5 and 5s that were comfortable for a single handed use, the craze does not seem to go down for the new iPhone.
