Jammu: Man duped of Rs 8 cr in Rice Puller scam

A dealer in the name of selling a rice puller duped a man of Rs. 8 Cr. in Gandhi Nagar area of Jammu. Muhammad Iqbal, Muhammad Tahir, Muhammad Ali and Muhammad Jalil have been allegedly accused of looting a merchant here. MS Manhas has ordered shifting the accused on remand to crime branch for investigation.

Raj Kumar Gupta, the victim told police that these dealers conned him into purchasing the rice puller which would prove to be extremely beneficial for his business. Raj somehow couldn’t ascertain their intentions initially, but later he realised that the con men looted money via transfers from various bank accounts. During the investigation, the details of bank accounts stand disclosed and the gandg of culprits has been identified. Apart from the four sent on remand, the team comprises of ten more people hailing from across the country. The culprits were produced before the honoranble High Court, after which they have been put in remand of crime branch in order to carry out further investigations.
