Jammu: On the directions of IGP Jammu Sh. Rajesh Kumar, IPS, DIG Jammu Sh. Shakeel Beigh IPS, SSP Jammu Sh. Uttam Chand IPS and SP Rural Mohan Lal Kaith. SDPO Akhnoor Sh. Naresh Singh held a relief camp at Hamirpur Kona Tehsil Paragwal Sub-Division Khour and listens to the grievance of general public and distributed relief material like Tarpal and other eatable materials among the flood affected people of the area. This village is worst effected in flood and remained cut of for more than 4 days from the national highway.
A medical camp was organized at Govt. High School, Surya Chak (Phallan Mandal) by Jammu Police. The aim of this medical camp was to provide medical assistance, which include free medicines to the needy locals staying in the remote areas, especially those affected due to incessant heavy rains and floods in the area.
A team of Doctors, from Police Hospital Jammu comprising Dr. Ajay Mishri, Dr. Manju Shah Bajaj and other paramedical staff have provided treatment, consultation, counselling and specialized medical care to the needy of all age groups including children, women and elders, which include health education of water borne and other communicable diseases, and the precautions to be taken to prevent them like wash hand with soap/ash before eating food & after toilet. Secondly use water for drinking purpose from a safe source. Or water (rolling) boiled for 10 minutes , and similarly avoid open defecation, never defecate near hand pump and other source of drinking water. Around 352 patients from far flung and adjoining areas attended the camp and benefited from the facilities provided at the Medical Camp.
The response of the public was very forthcoming, who have applauded the efforts of Police in reaching out to them at the time of need, and have requested for more such camps.
The medical camp was supervised by Sh. S. A. Beig, IPS, DIG Jammu Kathua Range, and among others was also attended by Sh.Rahul Malik, IPS, SP South, S. Randheer Singh, SP Hqrs, Jammu and IC PP Phallan Mandal.
Moreover, SDPO Akhnoor Sh. Naresh Singh alongwith SHO Khour while rescuing the injured/sick persons from Dhad Channi Palatan, Pallanwala Khour Akhnoor. (photographs attached)
