Jammu police organises rehabilitation programme in Jammu district
Jammu : Jammu Police Continues its efforts to provide a sigh of relief to the recent flood victims, Jammu Police distributed relief material to flood victims .
Jammu Police with an endeavor to help and reach out to the flood affected persons in sub division R.S.Pura, launched various rehabilitation programmes. In this directions special Police team were earmarked and kept at the disposal of all SDPOs for extending all possible help and assistance to the flood affected people.
Today Special Police Team under the charge of Inspr Kulbir Singh Choudhary, SHO P/S Arnia and special team headed by Inspr. Bhushan Singh Manhas have distributed blankets among the flood victims of Panchayat Halqa Sai, Treva, Jabowal , Changia and Gujjar Basti near Aik Nallah in the jurisdiction of P/S Arnia. This team also extended assistance to some Gujjar families for repairing of their Kullas, which were damaged in the devastating flash floods.
Similarly, another special Police team under the charge of Inspr Deepak Singh Jastoria, SHO P/S R.S.Pura and special team headed by Inspr Abid Rafiqui alongwith local residents of the respective areas conducted relief and rehabilitation work and helped people in rebuilding their residential accomondation in Joura Farm, Dewangarh, Chakroi, Chandu Chack areas and on the occasion blankets were also distributed among the flood affected people. They have also helped the local populace and repaired the damaged road of village Chakroi, which was completely damaged in the floods.
These rehabilitation programmes were supervised by S.Randheer Singh, SP Hqrs Jammu under the close supervision of Sh. Uttam Chand, IPS, SSP Jammu, Sh. S.A.Beig,IPS, DIG Jammu Kathua Range, and Sh. Rajesh Kumar Yadav, IPS, IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu. (Photographs attached).
Rehabilitation programme by SDPO Domana
Police Special teams constituted by SSP Jammu for rehabilitation of flood affected people in Jammu district, today Police special team remove the mud culminated in the Kullas (hut) due to recent flood in Raipur Jagir area of Domana Police Station. The rehabilitation work was executed with the collaboration of Police Station Domana and Police Post Poni Chak and made the flood affected accommodation residable. The Police team also help them in shifting their belongings in their Kullas (hut).
Police helped in re-opening of Schools in Nagrota area.
Taking the on going mission of J&K Police ahead to provide an immediate relief and rehabilitation to the flood victims, Nagrota police with the assistance of DPL special police team today affected the removing of some infrastructure from the malbas and it’s shifiting to safer places after proper cleaning which was buried under mud in the rooms of Govt. Middle School Sitni, Nagrota during recent flash flood. Two class rooms of the said school have also been cleaned and got made them functional by removing the mud etc. This step of police was highly appreciated by the staff/students as wll as public.
Rehabilitation programme in Akhnoor area
Today a special deputed from DPL Jammu under the supervision of SHO Police Station Khour for relief and rehabilitation visited Doian ,Gigrial, Sainth and Dhar Khour area Akhnoor. They helped the people in re-building their houses damaged in recent flood.
Police helped in re-opening of Schools in Sunjwan area
Taking the ongoing mission of J&K Police ahead to provide an immediate relief and rehabilitation to the flood victims, Sub-Division East, Jammu with the assistance of DPL special Police team today affected the removing of some infrasture from the malbas and it is shifted to the safer place after proper cleaning which was buried under mud in the rooms of Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Sunjwan and High School, Bathindi during recent flash flood. Class rooms of the said schools were cleaned and made functional by removing the mud. This step of police was highly appreciated by the staff as well as public.
Rehabilitation programme in Phallian Mandal area
Today a special rescue and relief team helped in clearing the debris from Lachhanpur High School in Phillian Mandal flood affected area as a part of police drive to extend help for the flood affected people and also distributed various relief items to the affected people gather there.
