Jammu: Suicide note recovered from girl reveals shocking details


JAMMU: A young female physiotherapist allegedly ended her life by Jumping into Chenab River here today from New Akhnoor Bridge, Police said.

Police said they recovered the body from Chenab after some locals spotted it near Jia Pota Ghat . “We also recovered the wallet of the deceased on the New Bridge Akhnoor where from she might have jumped into the river” Police said.

Police identified the deceased girl as Monika Sharma daughter of Om Parkash Sharma resident of house number 20 Buta Enclave, Janipur. They said the psychotherapist was posted in R S Pura hospital.

According SHO Akhnoor-Pushvinder Singh, police also recovered a suicide note from her wallet.

In the endnote, according to him, the female physiotherapist had mentioned that she decided to end her life after being cheated by a youth with whom she had an affair. However the name of the youth was not mentioned in the suicide note, he added.

“The body has been shifted to Sub District Hospital Akhnoor for conducting the post-mortem while further investigation is on” the SHO said.
