Jammu : Traffic Police challans 57 vehicles for various offences at samba

SAMBA : Traffic Police along with district police launched a drive against the traffic violators and challaned 57 vehicles and booked the offenders here today.

A team led by DSP Traffic Madhu Bandral, DSP Headquarter Tanveer Ahmed, SHO Samba Chanchal Singh and DTI Traffic Tarsem Kumar were also present during the drive.

Reports said that Traffic Police along with district Police held a Nakka on Jammu-Pathankot National Highway near Samba.

During the drive the traffic cops booked 57 traffic violators in different offences like triple riding, without seat belt, wearing crash helmet, over speed, without driving licence and overloading vehicles. During the drive traffic cops asked the people to follow the traffic rules.

DSP Traffic Madhu Bandral said on the direction of the senior officers of the department they have launched a drive against the traffic violators adding that the drive would continue for one week.
