Jammu: Two injured, 5 Structures damage in Rajouri Fire Incidents


Two persons suffered burn injuries in as many fire incidents in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir. At least five structures were completely damaged in the fire incidents.

Reports said fire broke out in the cattle shed of Barket Hussein at Thaliote in Kalakote during last night, damaging it completely.

They said fire tender couldn’t reach the area because of poor connectivity. Locals tried to douse the fire in which two persons, Noor Hussain and Mohd Hussain, suffered minor burn injuries and were hospitalised.

In a separate incident, at least five shops were gutted in a fire incident at main market Nowshera.

An eye witness said fire emerged from a shop and soon engulfed other shops in the area.

Fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control, he said. However, no loss of life was reported in the incident.
