A pall of gloom descended on the native villages of two Army jawans as their bodies reached the Ramnagar area of Udhampur on Wednesday night.
The two soldiers were killed in a road accident in Punjab on Tuesday night. Both had got married 15 days ago.
According to reports, the incident took place at Batala in Punjab when the car they were travelling in lost control and collided with a truck.
The soldiers died on the spot while their wives were critically injured.
The two women were rushed to a hospital.Army Jawan Anil Kumar, a resident of Priya Badal village in Ramnagar, was married to Jyoti Devi, while Rajinder Kumar, a resident of Choki Jandrore village in Ramnagar, was married to Shobu Devi 15 days ago.
They were returning home from Himachal Pradesh where they had gone for their honeymoon.
