Jammu will always remain my first love: Subha Rajput

JAMMU: Another Jammu girl hailing from Jammu has achieved stardom in the world of entertainment. Subha Rajput hailing from Jammu is a well known face in TV industry and she recieved great appreciation for her role in prime time daily soap ‘Ishqbaaz’.

Shubha Rajput, belongs to Samba and after years of grooming in theatre acting in Natrang, moved to Mumbai, and eventually achieved acknowledgement of her acting skills and is admired by renowned frontages of the industry.

Subha Rajput started her acting career by acting in one of the most popular Children play of Natrang, ‘Aap Hamare Hain Koun’. Later, she worked in other major plays of Natrang like Bawa Jitto, Mere Hisse Ki Dhoop Kahan Hai, Reed Ki Haddi, Miss World Undeclared, 30 Days in September, Tagore Diwas, Shayad etc.

She has also done Hotel Beautiful (Hindi feature film yet to be released), TVC for Sprite, Edelweiss Tokio Life Insurance etc., serials for different channels like Savdhaan India, Pyar Tune Kya Kiya, Darr etc. Other than this, she has also been a model for a number of reputed clothing and jewellery brands.

While speaking to U4Uvoice Shubha shared that she loves theatre as she feels that it had made a lasting impression on her and she had learned minute details of acting in theatre. She loves travelling, loves to meet and interact with people.

In reel life she is playing role of a shy girl who is scared of interacting with people and stammer while talking but in real life Subha loves adventure and is very fond of water sports. To relieve stress and relax she plays guitar, do swimming, dancing and listen to good music. She also loves to pen down her thoughts at times with her creative writing skills. She has got beautiful voice and she sing dogri songs whenever she miss her home town.  She is a totally different person from the one shown in the serial.

She believes that you live the character you are playing and it’s totally a different experience but you remain the same person you are. She misses her family and Jammu a lot and whenever she gets a chance she just pack her bag and come here. The one thing she misses a lot in Mumbai is the Rajma Chawal cooked by her mom.

Subha Rajput feels proud that in Jammu now Dogri cinema is gaining momentum. She said, “She would love to be a part of that and if in future she ever gets a change to do something for Jammu she will give it a priority as Jammu is her first love.”
For youngsters her message is that nothing can stop you from getting the best if you are strongly attached to your roots and are well determined to achieve it. I believe Jammu youth is very talented and I would request parents to support their children.
