In a decision, which is only going to benefit the growing number of mobile users in India, telecom giant Airtel is now offering 2GB 3g/4g data per day for 28 days at Rs 149. However, this scheme is yet to be rolled out in all centres and only restricted number of people have gained access to it, so far according to reports.
The Airtel’s latest scheme is in response to Airtel Jio’s plan which offers 1.5 GB 4g per day for Rs 149 with a validity of 28 days. By offering 0.5 GB extra, Airtel is looking to stay alive in the intense data war which has been unleashed ever since Reliance Jio entered the market. Jio with its aggressive price points managed to bring the prices down, forcing others to adjust their rates.
Airtel earlier offered 1GB for Rs 149 and now they have doubled it. It is also offering 2.4GB for Rs 399 with a validity of 84 days.
