Only these two officers along with two others returned to J&K last year after a formal request was made by state government to central government to depute all the IAS officers of the J&K state back to the state, as there was a shortage of bureaucrats in the functional structure of the state.
A per reports in a local daily, the speculated reason for their deputation to central government is slow pace of working of their respective departments. Also, the policy framework done by these officers are not very effective which has lead to major embarrassment for the state government in one way or the other.
Their Deputation can be expected anytime before the budget session of the assembly. The paper-work has been completed regarding this action and it is in its final stage for completion.
