JAMMU: Jammu and Kashmir Unit of BJP donated another Rs one crore in Prime Minister CARES Fund today with this total donation since the start of Corona lockdown by the J&K Unit to PM CARES has reached Rs four crore.
The party in a handout issued here, said that earlier on April 10, BJP contributed Rs one crore in PM CARES Fund, on April 20 party contributed another Rs one crore to the PM CARES through State Bank of India (SBI), on April 27 it contributed Rs one crore more in PM CARES and on May 13 BJP contributed further Rs one crore in this Fund after handing over the Cheques worth Rs one crore to the Chairman J&K Bank R. K. Chhibber.
J&K BJP president, Ravinder Raina along with BJP general secretary (Org.), Ashok Kaul, BJP general secretary, Dr. Devinder Kumar Manyal, Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta and BJP incharge Social & Religion Organizations, Narain Singh handed over the cheques worth Rs. one crore to R. K. Chhibber, Chairman J&K Bank at Zonal Headquarter, Bahu Plaza Jammu. Bank vice-president, Sharish Sharma and Vice-President, Zonal Head Jammu, Sunit Kumar were also present on the occasion.
As informed, these donations have been received from the former BJP MLAs, MLCs, BJP J&K office bearers, district presidents, district office bearers, Mandal presidents, Mandal office bearers, J&K Government employees, businessmen and common citizens including students, men, women and children.
Ravinder Raina, while handing over the cheques to the Chairman, J&K Bank, said that he is very thankful to all the party leaders, supporters and sympathizers for this liberal funding. He said that it is a proud moment of J&K BJP that it has made a collection of Rs four crore till now to donate it to PM CARES Fund, which will strengthen the fight against Corona Pandemic.
Raina also appreciated the role of J&K Bank and said that J&K Bank employees have worked hard to cater to the needs of customers in these difficult times. He said that society is indebted to every Corona warrior as they have toiled hard to keep the essential services running despite facing hardships.
J&K Bank Chairman, R K Chhibber acknowledged the noble gesture by BJP leaders and said that every capable person must contribute to the PM CARES Fund and J&K Relief Fund.
