J&K electrical engineers on mass casual leave
JAMMU : Electrical engineers of J&K went on mass casual leave today on call from J & K Electrical Engineering Graduates Association .
Massive demonstration and sit in dharna by all the engineers were held at JKPDD complexes at Srinagar and Jammu and circle offices at Leh and Kargil. The engineers are protesting against the inaction of state government to address their ling pending genuine demands.
Pirzada Hidayatulla President of Association said that they have been rising being faced by engineers with specially regularization of electrical engineers, timely promotion at all levels and non implementation of Assured Career Progression for engineers with all the concerned authorities and the power minister.
Neeraj Sharma General secretary said that electrical engineers are feeling extremely harassed due to the fact that number of vacancies are there at every level but electrical engineers are being denied promotion without any concrete reason. Chief Engineers are forced to work in pay scale of AE & AEE and Executive Engineers are in the pay scale of JE which shows the pathetic situation being faced by electrical engineers.
V K gupta a spokesperson of All India Power Engineers Federation said that Federation has written a letter to Chief Minister and power Minister urging that genuine demands of electrical engineers mainly regularization , assured career progression and timely promotion against vacant posts are timely resolved in amicable atmosphere. Engineers were assured time and again by Ministers and authorities that their demands particularly assured career progression shall be implemented before 15th August but all in vain.
AIPEF supports the electrical engineers who are now being forced to take path of agitation after persuasions at different levels has failed.
