Jammu and Kashmir
Jammu, Apr 13: Unsuccessive Government in the state has forced the thousands of youth to migrate to other parts of country for jobs in private sector and that is probably failure in industrialization of the State and lack of tourism sector in the militancy ravaged J&K.
According to sources the 26 year long disturbance in the Valley has given a lot of setback to the development in the State.
Government has not taken steps to establish industries in Kashmir Valley to protect its scenic beauty nor they have taken proper steps to promote the tourism to create employment opportunities for the youth, sources added.
Sources said that though Jammu has always been a fertile place for the establishment of industries but due to the Non-successive Governments, Industrialists believe in establishing their Units outside Jammu region due to lack of industry friendly attitude establishment in the state.
This is the reason that many industrial units are on way of shifting there units from the state. The present PDP-BJP coalition which had made tall claims of brining a new industrial policy soon after taking over last year has also failed to do any thing concrete in this regard, sources added.
Sources said had the State Government has taken steps in beginning of establishing corporate sector in the State on the footsteps of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Karnataka, Andhara, Maharashtra etc.
If the Haryana could develop Gurgaon as Corporate city and UT of Chandigarh could be developed as corporate city where the youth from various parts of Northern India can get the employment opportunities why the successive Governments could not make Jammu like that.
If Jammu was developed into a good corporate city it would have definately helped those unemployed youth not to leave the state for finding jobs or migrate to other parts of the country, sources added.
If Serious efforts were not made to develop this city the day is not far when entire talented youth of the region will leave to other States and corporate cities for seeking job and they will in turn settle there, said the source.
It is high time for the Government both at Delhi and in the State to pay attention towards this problem so that situation will not deteriorate further, sources added.
