JK Govt planning to scrap interview for junior-level posts
Srinagar, February 09: As per reports in the Early Times News, the state government will soon implement the union government’s order to scrap interview in non- gazetted posts in Jammu and Kashmir.
The reports says that the state of Jammu and Kashmir is the state with highest unemployment in country. In the recent years, unemployment has witnessed surge because of corruption in various government departments during the recruitment. Nepotism and partiality always takes place during the interview process in state and because of which the deserving candidates suffer.
The implementation of Union Government order to scrap interview process for non-gazatted jobs will be no less than a breather for the unemployed youth of the state. Sources divulge that if the order is implemented, there will be no recruitment with interview at the junior level posts in government of central ministries, departments, attached and subordinate offices, autonomous bodies. There will be only skill test for junior-level posts.
Presently, Raj Bhawan has been contemplating its various modalities before finally implementing it on ground.
Furthermore, in cases of specific posts where the ministry or department wants to continue undertaking interview as a process of recruitment, a detailed proposal seeking exemption will have to be sent to the The department of personnel and training (DoPT) with the approval of the concerned ministry.
