J&K Govt suspends CEO over alleged corruption charges
Jammu and Kashmir Government has placed Chief Education Officer of Kishtwar under suspension over alleged corruption charges.
“The CEO Kishtwar Ajeet Kumar Sharma has been placed under suspension with immediate effect,” said an order.
It further said that during this period of suspension, he shall remain attached in the office of the Directorate, School Education, Jammu, adding, “CEO Doda, shall hold the charge of the post of the CEO Kishtwar, in addition to his own duties, till further orders”.
Meanwhile, official sources said that taking cognizance of mismanagement and midterm transfer of teachers, Secretary Education Farooq Ahmed Shah on the directions of the Education Minister ordered immediate suspension of CEO and attached him in the office of Director School Education Jammu with immediate effect.
“There was also allegations of corruption through a middleman in transfers of the teachers,” they said.
