JAMMU, May 10: Chief Justice of India TS Thakur had expressed his desire of whether the Judges of the J&K High Court use at least a part of the vacation time to take up the old matters especially those in which people are languishing in Jails.
Registrar General of J&K High Court has issued a circular dated April 30th 2016, regarding listing of old cases before the Judges during the part period of vacation time.
Keeping this in view, Chief Justice of J&K High Court N Paul Vasanthakumar has taken a decision for listing the old matters before the Judges during the part period of the vacation time.
The members of Bars have been requested to provide the numbers of the old cases, which they propose should be heard during the vacation time along with consent letter in original of all the counsel appearing in such cases to Registrar Judicial of the concerned wing within a week.
