The RTI has revealed that a whopping amount of Rs. 51,82,500 was collected just through forms. “The cost of application forms for the plots, Rs 500 was received from each applicant and thus an amount of Rs 51, 82,500 was collected.”, RTI Activist briefed Media.

“But till date, neither the plots have been allotted to the respective applicants nor the Housing Board has returned the received fees of application form,” he added

Alleging that the Housing Board had collected Rs.51, 82,500/- from 10,365 applicants by deceitful means, the RTI activist threatened legal action against the Housing Board if compensation is not provided to the applicants.
