A massive development package of nearly one lakh crore for J&K in cards
Jammu and Kashmir News
PM Narendra Modi is likely to announce a massive development package for Jammu and Kashmir around Eid-ul-Fitr. As per sources, a package of Rs. 70,000 or Rs. One Lakh crore will be announced by the PM on July 17, on his visit to Jammu or July 22, in Srinagar.
The state is suffering from drought of funds from the last few months and the announcement of this rehabilitation and development plan would be a huge aid to the PDP BJP government. The package would include a considerable share for the 2014 flood victims who haven’t been compensated even ten months after the tragedy.
The PM has been invited to a function in the Jammu region on July 17, along with Finance Minister Arun Jaitley for the birth centenary celebrations of former J&K minister and MP Girdhari Lal Dogra.
A senior BJP member told that the PM is also likely to attend party’s Eid Milan gathering in Srinagar that is scheduled for July 22.
