Srinagar : Expressing his concern over the rampant corruption and the state’s failure to check the menace, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) youth wing in charge, Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra has said there is an immediate need of a responsible, honest government in Jammu & Kashmir which shall rebuild the lost trust of people in the system.
Speaking during an interaction session with youth on the party’s ‘Youth For Change’ campaign at Tangmarg he said the ruling dispensation has pushed the state into the unprecedented corruption and brazenly damaged the institutions of probity with all impunity, over the last more than five years.
Making a strong call for change in the system, Waheed said the state has to come out of the present bad times and PDP, with the support of people, will establish an honest, transparent and accountable governance system in J&K, where people will feel empowered, and secure. He said corruption, nepotism, state’s highhandedness are responsible for the prevailing mistrust among people with the system and it has been the policy of the ruling party to keep people away from the electoral politics so that it becomes easy for it to loot the state. He said youth need to understand the damaging and deceitful policies of NC and teach them a lesson in the forthcoming elections.
