JK Nodal Agency for IWMP receives “The Best Practices Award ”

JAMMU: The J&K State Level Nodal Agency (JKSLNA) for Integrated Watershed Management Programme (IWMP), Department of Rural Development & Panchayati Raj received “The Best Practices Award ” in a function organised by Department of Land Resources (DoLR), Government of India (GOI), at SCOPE Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi.

The award was received by Shafaat Noor Barlas, Secretary Rural Development who is also Chairman of the SLNA for IWMP in J&K State, from Union Minister for Rural Development and Panchayti Raj.

The committee of experts recognised the concept introduced by the J&K and selected the state for award under “Best Practices”. The technique introduced by J&K State has now been listed as one of the “Best Practices under Integrated Watershed Management Programme in India”.
