J&K: This Kashmiri leader from BJP is likely to be inducted into cabinet
Srinagar, Sep 21: Amidst fissures, the BJP General Secretary Ram Madhav held separate meetings with workers and party ministers.
Madhav arrived on a two day visit in Srinagar. Following which he held a meeting with party workers at the deputy chief minister’s residence.
Sources said that he received poor feedback about the performance of several BJP ministers in the coalition.
During the meeting, sources said that the party workers complained that the ministers were not addressing the grievances of the workers.
“The workers wanted change in portfolios of at least three ministers,” sources privy to the meeting. Seniors BJP leaders Ashok Koul and Dr Nirendar Singh were also present on the occasion.
Sources said that ministers of three departments would either be dropped or change in their portfolios. “A Kashmiri BJP leader may also be included in the cabinet in the possible reshuffle in the ministers very soon,” a BJP leader said.
After the meeting, Madhav held separate meetings with the BJP ministers. The meetings were held after Madhav received poor feedback about several ministers and leaders.
Madhav will be visiting Jammu on Friday.
Madhav’s visit is significant as he will be the third senior party leader to visit J&K in the span of a fortnight to review the performance of the coalition government.
