Srinagar: Initiating its ‘jail bharo’ agitation against ‘not-availability of political space’, JKLF chairman, Mohammad Yasin Malik on Friday courted arrest along with his ten party members.

Led by Malik, dozens of JKLF supporters started marching from Maisuma, and as soon as they reached Budshah Chowk, a large contingent of police stopped them.

Ten JKLF members led by their chairman, Malik courted themselves arrest after which the other protesters dispersed peacefully.

Malik had announced ‘jail bharo’ agitation during a press conference after his public contact campaign was foiled.

While taking with media during a protest Yaseen Malik lashed out on PDP BJP lead government in which he said that before election PDP mentioned that they will give a political space to separatist leaders but they just put us behind the bars. While reacting on Home Minister Rajnath Singh’s statement he said that India is planning to provide separate colonies to Pandiths but we will not let it happen.
