Jammu, November 28: A recent notice issued by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has put the aspirants in total confusion. The notice has asked the aspirants who have applied for the posts of College Assistant Professors to furnish a certificate from the concerned universities from where they have obtained Ph.D degrees.
Terming it ‘ambiguous’, the aspirants allege that the commission has failed to provide complete details in the notice which is confusing.
The notice was issued on 23/11/2015 and reads, “The candidates who have applied for the post of Assistant Professor in various disciplines in Higher Education Department on the basis of having qualified Ph.D degree are hereby advised to furnish certificate from the concerned Universities where-from they have obtained Ph.D degree”.
He added that JKPSC has office in Jammu, hence Jammu aspirants can submit there certificates in Jammu office but the notice fails to convey where the valley students have to submit their certificates. The notice fails to explain this also.
Further, there is no mention of last date of submission of the same certificate.
“The JKPSC authorities must explain in detail all these aspects, but it was really sad to see such a glich from a premiere institute of the state. Hald our questions remained unanswered, after reading the JKPSC notice,” said another aspirant.
