The Higher Secondary Lecturer examination for mathematics, economics, computer science and zoology subjects which is being conducted by the state Public Service Commission have clashed with the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET), scheduled to be held on June 19 this year.
Candidates have demanded that the clash could have been avoided by choosing a separate date for the +2 Lecturer exams, as the dates for the NET were fixed and announced well in advance.
A candidate from Shopian said that he was preparing for the NET for the last six months and now he is confused between both the exams.
The candidates had appealed to the PSC authorities to revise the dates of +2 Lecturer exams for zoology, computer science, economics and mathematics subjects.
The reply is yet awaited.Minister for Revenue and Rehabilitation Syed Basharat Bukhari has told the Legislative Council that the issue of clash of the NET and +2 lecturer examinations on June 19 had been taken up with the Chief Secretary who had assured to look into the matter.
However, no revised dates have been issued so far.
