Jammu, February 16: The much delayed process of interview of candidates shortlisted for over 1600 openings for the post of Assistant professors for several degree government degree colleges across the state is most likely to begin again from next week.
As per reports in Early Times, it has been established by Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) that the candidates having Ph.D degree without Minimum Standard Procedure (MSP) certificates will not be allowed to take part in the process.
A source within the department has said that the delay is only because of the present recruitment of Assistant Directors in Planning Department. One the ongoing recruitment process of Assistant Directors in Planning department is concluded, the department will restart these interviews.
The ongoing recruitment of AD Planning posts is likely to end on February 17 and on the same day, the department has decided to hold a meeting to discuss the restarting of interview process of APs.

It is pertinent to mention here that a request has been made by the University of Jammu and Kashmir to postpone the interviews until the report of Nagvekar committee would come. However their request has not been accepted by Commission with a observation that it has not received any kind of communiqué from Higher Education department or Governor office to stall the interview process.
