Jammu, December 05: The Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) has completed the scrutiny of applications for the post of Assistant Professors in several colleges in Jammu and has decided to conduct screening test in six subjects very soon.
As per reports in a local daily here, JKPSC has made a decision to conduct screening test in six subjects including Management, Political Science, Sociology, Education, Urdu and Environmental Sciences.
Initially, the commission has decided to conduct screening test in eight subjects but later after a meeting of JKPSC members, it was decided that the Commission will conduct screening test only after proper scrutiny of all the forms.
The sources have claimed that the department has now completed scrutiny of all the forms and has found that the application forms in above mentioned six subjects are above the criteria fixed by the Commission. So it is almost final that screening test will be conducted in six subjects and not in eight.
Also, the Secretary of JKPSC, Shakeel-ur-Rehman has also confirmed that screening test would be conducted in these six subjects..
The sources further that for the last few days, the Commission has been notifying the deficiency lists of various subjects and in the coming days all the remaining deficiency lists would be published, after which interviews would be conducted in all other remaining subjects, other than six.
Also, the syllabus for the screening test is almost finalized and will be published soon, said the Secretary JKPSC. He also hinted that the screening test is most likely to held in the month of January.
He was also asked about interviews in other subjects to which he said that probably in the next fortnight the interviews in other subjects would be started.
