JKPSC’s flawed question paper
Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC) conducted an entrance exam of History today, the question paper of which is termed as flawed question paper. The aspirants who took the examination have criticized the JKPSC for this question paper.
Aspirants told that as per the syllabus which was uploaded by JKPSC for the history subject for the entrance exam was divided in four segments including Medieval India, Modern India, World History, and History of Jammu and Kashmir.
The entrance test was of 120 marks (one mark, each question). The paper was divided in four segments with each segment having 30 marks. But there was not a single question from the History portion of Jammu and Kashmir as per the uploaded syllabus which tells that J&K history is one of the four segments.
One aspirant told that 30 questions were supposed to be from Medieval section but the question paper had 60 questions from this section, while there were 40 questions from modern history and from World History section there were only 20 questions.
In the previous question papers of last few years of JKPSC, equal questions from all sections were asked in the paper. Question papers were according to the syllabus but for the first time questions paper was not that way it was supposed to be.
