The Jammu Municipal Corporation in its campaign against the

encroachers and illegal hawkers today seized Reharies from the Canal
Head to Akhnoor Road areas which were found stationary and without
valid Licenses causing obstructions in the free flow of vehicular
traffic and hindrance to the pedestrians. Besides this, during the
drive a large no’s of vendors / hawkers were also removed who were
selling goods by encroaching upon footpaths and pavements in these
areas 10 truck load of materials / goods were also seized during the

Further, the team also demolished two no’s Khokha at Akhnoor Road Opp
Toph Bridge, Jammu.


The extensive anti encroachment drive was led by Chief Enforcement
Officer, Assistant Enforcement Officers and Enforcement Inspectors of
Jammu Municipal Corporation alongwith Police Force from District
Police Lines, Jammu.

The Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to the shopkeepers to maintain
the shop lines to avoid seizure of goods and penalty for such
defaults. The Rehari owners are also instructed to keep their reharies
mobile and comply with the license conditions.
