Joint Director post to KAS Cadre is objectionable
Jammu, December 24: The members of All J&K Plus-2 Lecturers’ Forum strongly opposed the Govt’s move to divert the posts of Joint Director to the non-concerned officers from the KAS Cadre as per the recommendation of the Cabinet Sub Committee during a meeting in the Forum Office at Jammu, under the chairmanship of its Vice-President Anil Sharma.
The forum alleges that the Cabinet Sub Committee is violating the SRO 481 in which it is clearly mentioned that a person with 3 years service as Joint Director from the Education Department can be posted as Director School Education on first preference and secondly from IAS/KAS Cadre. He said that the committee is degrading the esteem of the Plus-2 lecturers by diverting the posts of Joint Director School Education Department illegally and illogically to KAS Cadre who know nothing about the education department.
By doing this, Government is trying to derail the Education system from the track which is not acceptable.
