JAMMU : Mr. Pramod Kumar Jain, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, called on Mr. N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at Raj Bhavan, today.
Mr. Jain briefed the Governor about the to date status of the various ongoing projects which relate to the preservation and promotion of art and culture of the State. The Governor urged Mr. Jain to revisit the State, as soon as possible, to particularly review issues relating to the preservation of ancient monuments and the functioning of museums in the State.
Mr. Jain also apprised the Governor about the progress achieved in ‘National Mission on Libraries’ in the State, which aims to modernize and digitally link libraries across India.
