Journey from Kashmir’s Niagara to Hanging Glacier



Undoubtedly, Kashmir is called the Paradise on Earth and most of the places have attracted a number of tourists from  different parts of the world .Anyway, who wouldn’t want to explore the most serene places which can instill a hope in you, make you feel more alive and rejuvenate your soul. To be at such places itself feels like a benediction. Be it spring or fall time ; lush green meadows or snow draped mountains ,the beauty of Kashmir leaves people spellbound. In this article I would like to mention five destinations which are yet to be explored and brought to the forefront for recognition to be dawned upon them. So let’s take a trip through them:

                      Location:114 km from Srinagar

               District: Kupwara

               Environ : Pir Panjal and Zanskar

               Fruit crops: Cherry, Apple, Apricot, Peach and Walnut

               Fauna: Brownbear ,snow leopard,markhor,hangul,muskdeer

  • Betaab Valley (Egg shaped valley)Betab valley(KASHMIR)

              Location: 15 km from Pahalgam


             Environ:Zanskar and Pir Panjal Range

             Attraction spots: Campsite for Trekking, Baisan and Tulian Lakes.

  • Aharbal Waterfall (Niagara Falls of Kashmir)

  • Kolahoi Glacier ( hanging glacier)
