An Indian Army plane has crashed in Jharkhand’s East Singhbhum district on Tuesday, police said.
According to Jamshedpur Senior Superintendent of Police Anup T. Matthew, the plane crashed in Koema Swarnarekha river.
The trainee pilot flying the aircraft ejected safely, they said.
Both pilots parachuted to safety but were admitted to the Bahragora Hospital after suffering injuries.
The aircraft was on a routine training sortie.
A court of inquiry has been ordered into the accident, said the sources.
Hawk is an advanced trainer jet.
