Just In : Two pilgrims killed, six injured in road accident in Jammu & Kashmir


At least two Amarnath yatris were killed while six others injured when a vehicle they were travelling in rolled down the road near toll post Qazigund in south Kashmir.

Official sources said a yatra vehicle on way to Jammu turtle at Qazigund on the highway resulting in on spot death of two pilgrims and injuries to six others.

The injured were shifted to nearby by the hospital for treatment.

The deceased were identified as Gorab Brad and Vinod Kumar both residents of Ludhiana Punjab.


The injured were identified as Ravinder Kumar son of Ram Javeen Satyam, Raina son of Sarvan Raina, Sukhbeer Singh son of Hardev Singh Patiala, Ashu Talwar son of Kameet Talwar resident of Haryana,  Govinder Singh son of Jitander Singh and Rajesh Kumar son of Sarveen Kumar residents of Ludhiana Punjab got injured and have been shifted to hospital for treatment.

With these killings, 17 yatris have died due to health reasons and landslides besides road accidents during the pilgrimage which commenced from June 28.
