The JK Public Service Commission (PSC) has extended the date for submission of fee to provide relief to aspirants who were unable to deposit their fee for the KAS-2016 examination.
The decision, as per the officials, has been taken to “provide relief” to the aspirants who couldn’t deposit their fee after downloading their Bank Challan from the official website of JK PSC.
“December 05 was the last date for downloading exam form and December 07 has been set as last date for submission of fees. In case any student couldn’t deposit his fee till the scheduled time, we will extend it for next three days more,” said Secretary PSC, Shakeel Ul Rehman.
Meanwhile, several KAS aspirants told local daily that they couldn’t deposit their fee from past two days after downloading the exam form and bank challan as well.
“After downloading the form we also generated bank challan to deposit our fee. But we couldn’t pay our fee due to some technical error in the system. Bank officials told us that our Roll number has not been updated,” the aggrieved aspirants said.
Secretary PSC said the grievance would be resolved after resumption of work in office.
“Offices were closed for past two days due to holidays. But the issue will be resolved. We will also extend the dates for submission of exam fee for the aspirants who have already submitted the online form for exams,” he said.
