KAS prelims exam held; 12208 candidates appears forenoon session & 12158 in afternoon at 26 centers ’across the state

JAMMU, AUGUST 30- The Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2014 conducted successfully in the State here today.

There are 20180 candidates were registered for 26 centres with 11 in Srinagar and 15 in Jammu and wherein  examination was held in two sessions.

Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2014 conducted here today in the State where 12208 candidates appeared in General Studies  at Forenoon Session  with percentage 61.91% and 12158 were present in Optional  at afternoon session with  percentage 61.65 across  the State.

Meanwhile, in Jammu 7199 candidates appeared and in Srinagar 5009 candidates  were present in the examination of General Studies Forenoon Session.

Similarly, in Optional (Afternoon Session) in Jammu 7149 were present and in Srinagar 5009 were present in the examination.

It is pertinent to mention here that government had appointed 38 observers for the combined competitive (preliminary) Examination 2014,

Whileas in Srinagar, there are 16 observers including  Mohammad Ishaq, Additional Secy,Revenue Department, Mohammad Rafi, Additional Secy Cooperatives Department, Firdous Ahmad, Additional Secy Vigilance Commission, Mathora Masoom, Deputy Commissioner Commercial Taxes Audit,Srinagar, Abdul Hafiz Shah,Joint Director,Industries and Commerce (S&M) Kashmir, Shafqat Iqbal, Joint Director Information Kashmir, Mohammad Qasim Wani,Joint Director CAPD Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad Wani, Joint Director, Handlooms Kashmir, Moahmmad Ashraf Bhat, Joint Director Handicrafts, Kashmir, Abdul Majid Zargar,Joint Director Information (Hqr), Directorate of Information, Altaf Ahmad Khan, Programme Officer, ICDS Project Srinagar, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani(Awaiting orders of adjustment in GAD), Ashiq Hussain Lily, Principal RTI Kashmir, Sajid Yehaya, Deputy Director CAPD Kashmir, Rifat Aftab, Development Officer, Handicrafts Textile Kashmir and Ghulam Jeelani Zargar, Deputy Director, Tourism Kashmir.

It was the first Public Services Commission J&K examination was held in the State after the formation of New public Service Commission Committee by the   Jammu and Kashmir government.

For the  smooth conduct of  examination the   Jammu and Kashmir government had been made foolproof arrangements  including security, uninterrupted power supply, drinking water supply and other necessary arrangements.
