Jammu police has arrested a non resident Kashmiri doctor while he on his way to Srinagar Airport on Sunday. The doctor was booked on charges of having links with militants. According to media sources, Dr Shaheen Baba was settled in England with his brother and was on his way to the airport when the police intercepted the car. “Baba had to board a plane at Srinagar Airport for his onward journey to London when police arrested him along his relatives. They were whisked away to police station at Rabagh for questioning. Sources added that he had arrived in Budgam three months ago and has been living there since then. Police believes that he is part of a local militant module and has received Rs 10 lakh for militant activities in Kashmir. Police is also looking for more leads in the case. More raids were carried out at Chrar-e-Sharif and Chadoora in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district to make further arrests.
