Kashmir girl bags Rs 32 lakh scholarship
AMMU, May 3: Tasneem Dar from Kashmir, a student of Partap World School, Pathankot, has grabbed Rs 32 lakh scholarship from University of British Columbia (Canada)-ranked among top 25 universities of the world.
She is the only student from entire North India to avail the presidential scholarship worth 64000 $. 1162 students were selected out of 32000 students for Brown University (USA) and she was one of them in top ten. Besides this, she also got admission acceptance letters from University of IOWA (USA) ,Purdue University, Ivy League Universities, University of Washington(USA), University of Toronto(Canada), University of Florida (USA).
This was all possible with sincere cooperation by teachers of Partap World School and efforts by Eduvelocity, Chd. Partap world school is a day boarding cum residential school in Pathankot-Punjab. Tasneem Dar was a residential student in Partap World School from Kashmir. She was under guidance of faculty members from Partap World School and eduvelocity, Chandigarh. She was interviewed by universities representatives online and cleared their interview with 100 percentile.
Four years academic record is taken into consideration where she always secured more than 95 percent. She also gave SAT (scholastic altitude Test) required for Admission in top international universities. Her score was more than 95 percent.
