Srinagar: The security forces on Friday nabbed a Hizb-ul-Mujahideen terrorist from the Pastuna forest area of Tral in Pulwama district.
Gulzar Dar, described as a local cadre of the terrorist group, was apprehended in a joint operation by the Indian Army, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the CRPF.
The arrest came after the security forces this morning launched a cordon and search operation in the forest area suspecting presence of terrorists there.
The search operation was launched after gunshots were heard in the vicinity of the forest area.
