SRINAGAR: Right after the news of Pathankot Terror attack broke, Jammu and Kashmir ex-CM Omar Abdullah made a sly comment towards PM Modi, saying that the terror attack is the first challenge towards Modi goverment Pakistan gambit. While peace talks with Pakistan are underway, these frequent attacks depict a different story. The terror attack in Punjab is “the first major challenge to PM (Narendra) Modi’s bold Pakistan gambit,” tweeted Omar Abdullah soon after the attack at IAF Airbase. “The BJP now has to sidestep its previous ‘terror & talks can’t go together’ and insulate the Indo-Pak dialogue from such attacks,” he said in a tweet.
From past experience I’m sure it emerge that these militants crossed over within the last few hours with the airbase as a specific target.

Many other Kashmir leaders are now raising eyebrows at India-Pak Peace talk initiatives being potrayed by PM Modi. “Talks can influence terror, terror cannot influence talks,” said PDP’s Waheed Ur Rehman on India-Pak talks and ties. Such terror attack defeat talks, he added. He also said that there is a vicious design behind these terrorists activities and while paksiatn is showing consistent urge for peace, there is also a segment in Pakistan which is showing consistent engagement on violence and terror.
